## How to Simplify Fractions?

To simplify a fraction, find the Greatest Common Divisor (GCD) of the numerator (top number) and denominator (bottom number), then divide both numbers by the GCD.

Example 1: Simplify $$\dfrac{8}{12}$$

Step 1: Find the GCD of 8 and 12:

Step 2: Divide both the numerator and denominator by GCD (4).
